Infosys’ CEO and managing director is Nandan Nilekani. Alongside Narayan Murthy, he was one of the fellow benefactors of Infosys. Since the company’s inception in 1981, he has held the position of director on its board. Prior to accepting the post of Chief in Walk 2002, Nandan Nilekani held the post of Overseeing Chief, President and Head Working Official.

Bangalore is where Nandan Nilekani was born. Mohan Nilekani, his father, worked as a manager at Minerva Mills. In the beginning, Nandan Nilekani attended school in Bangalore. At the age of 12, Nandan moved to his uncle’s home in Dharwad because his father had a job that could be transferred. This instilled self-reliance in Nandan Nilekani. Nandan Nilekani received admission to IIT Mumbai in 1973, when he was 18 years old. The stretch at IIT Mumbai changed Nandan Nilekani from an unassuming community kid to a sure experienced man. Meritocracy were the lessons he learned here; the capacity to fill in as a feature of a group; difficult work; furthermore, the significance of rewarding the general public have placed him in an advantageous position.

Nandan Nilekani joined Patni Computers in 1978 after graduating from IIT Mumbai with a degree in electrical engineering. Here he worked under Narayan Murthy. Infosys was founded in 1981 by Nandan Nilekani, Narayan Murthy, and five other co-founders three years later. While Narayan Murthy remained in India, Nandan Nilekani moved to the US to deal with Infosys’ inclinations there. He was the company’s face in advertising.

Infosys was built hard by Nandan Nilekani and his team in the 1980s and 1990s. In today’s corporate history, the success story of Infosys has become a legend. Infosys currently has 58,000 employees, $2 billion in annual revenue, and a capitalization of $21 billion.

Nandan Nilekani is beneficiary of a few distinctions and grants. Nandan was one of the youngest entrepreneurs to join 20 global leaders on the prestigious WEF Foundation Board in January 2006. Time Magazine named him one of the world’s top 100 influential people in 2006. He received the prestigious Joseph Schumpeter Prize in 2005 for innovative services in the fields of politics, economics, and science. One of India’s highest civilian honors, the Padma Bhushan, was bestowed upon Nandan Nilekani in 2006.
