Lalit Suri, brought into the world on 19 November 1946, can be known as the uncrowned inn lord of India. With over 1600 rooms, he was the single largest hotel owner and Chairman of the Bharat Hotels chain. The InterContinental The Grand in Delhi is the flagship property in the Bharat Hotels chain. There are six Grand hotels in Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Srinagar, Udaipur, and Khajuraho.

Lalit Suri graduated from New Delhi’s St. Columbus and Sri Ram College of Commerce. He addressed the two his school and school in swimming and sports at the state level. Lalit Suri began his career manufacturing vehicle bodies after receiving training as an automotive engineer. In 1988, he built his first hotel in Delhi. There was no turning back after that.
