Shri Inder Kumar Gujral

Shri Inder Kumar Gujral was confirmed as the twelfth Top state leader of India on Monday, the 21st of April, 1997.

Child of Late Shri Avtar Narain Gujral and Late Smt. Pushpa Gujral, Shri Gujral is M.A., B.Com. Ph.D. and D.Litt. ( Hons. Causa). He was brought into the world at Jhelum (in unified Punjab) on fourth December 1919. He and Smt. Shiela Gujral were hitched on May 26, 1945.

Shri Gujral has a place with a group of political dissidents: the two his folks partook in the opportunity battle in Punjab. Quite early in life of eleven, he personally effectively partook in the opportunity battle in 1931 and was captured and seriously beaten by the police for putting together development of small kids in the Jhelum town. In 1942, he was imprisoned during the Quit India Development.

Shri Gujral was the Minister of External Affairs from June 1, 1996, and he was also in charge of the Ministry of Water Resources from June 28, 1996, before becoming the Prime Minister of India. Between 1989 and 1990, he served as the Minister of External Affairs. He was Representative of India to U.S.S.R. (Bureau Rank) from 1976-1980 and stood firm on the accompanying Pastoral footings from 1967-1976:
